The airport was opened in 1948 in the town of Kloten, 12 km from Zurich. You can reach it from the city by train in 10 minutes. Zurich Airport accepts up to 70,000 passengers per day. Ideal location and size
Zurich Airport is only 11 minutes by train from the city center. It is also easy to get to it by bus or car. Zurich is the economic center of the country. It is still the largest Swiss city and an ideal starting point for traveling to the Swiss mountains.
The modest size of the Zurich Airport allows you to shorten transit times and routes. From the check-in desk to the most distant gate, a maximum of 30 minutes is required. In the passenger flight area, many cafes and restaurants start working one hour before the departure of the first flight and finish their work after announcing an invitation to land on the last flight of the day.

Zurich Airport is a great place to shop. Also, at the airport, there is a center for duty-free travelers. Throughout the airport grounds, you will have access to a high-speed Wi-Fi network, which you can use for free for one hour. Thanks to the reduced travel times and the direct routes, changing planes in Zurich is very efficient. For longer periods, shops, restaurants, showers and lounges are available in the traffic zone.
